This image was inspired by the hype, desire and glamour that was built around the icon of Hollywood for decades. The hill-top signs and billboards construct the dream studio as a social, economical, cultural and visual construct. The series is part of the ‘May Painting’ series that came out of a collaboration with Matty Mo (The Most Famous Artist). The ‘May Painting’ project is an international internet-based co-creation laboratory, bringing together over 50 makers, artists, collectors, thinkers, and doers to share insights and experiences, exchange ideas and help shape the vision for a culturally relevant artwork. Together we explored the theme of ‘the dream studio’ and what it means to each of us.
